February 2011 – Michael Salvadore Jr. discusses the state of the commercial real estate market in Rhode Island and the current market for sale of commercial properties at foreclosure. Salvadore is also featured in the report for the auction of Audio Visual equipment and the use of internet and online bidding technology to reach bidders worldwide. At the auction of Indigo Designs, the implementation of creative advertising and utilization of electronic advertising and internet technology for online bidding has drawn a stand room only room of bidders on site of 137 and over 147 bidders online from Maine to California, Mexico, Canada, Boliva and Japan. Salvadore Auctions President Michael A Salvadore Jr., SPA, MPPA says “if an auctioneer is not fully utilizing online bidding technology, fully engaging the electronic space for advertising then an argument can be made that the sale is not properly advertised and the results of the auction will be less than what could have been achieved”. Salvadore goes on to say “we cover all forms of advertising creatively from direct mail to electronic advertising to newspaper and direct email. The auction process is really just a marketing process, and if you do not market completely you can’t have a successful auction”.
